For Kids Co. Gardening Club
Children will have the opportunity to engage in a living, interactive playground full of seasonal surprises in our very own community garden – where all senses are engaged, regardless of age or developmental stages.
Children will develop a sense of responsibility and ownership for the fruits of their labour (excuse the pun!). Week by week, your child will learn about how plants grow, understand the difference between various fruits, vegetables and flowers and be able to see the changes developing – encouraging a lifelong interest in growing and, most importantly, self sufficiency. The children will harvest their fruits and vegetables to either bring home or use them to create healthy dishes while at the club.

During the colder months, For Kids Co. Gardening Club will engage the children in projects such as building bird feeders, nesting boxes and insect houses from recycled everyday items, embedding the importance of recycling and the very important relationship between mini beasts, birds, wild animals and plants in our environment.
