After school care
Our after-school service collects your child from their school and escorts them safely by either minibus or ‘walking bus’ to the club. Once we return, a healthy light snack is provided, prepared in our fully operational and approved kitchen.
Once the children have eaten, there is a range of daily planned activities that they can take part in, such as creative play, role play, outdoor games, gardening club (grow your own fruit and veg), nature trails, board games, team games, baking etc.
All activities are fully supported by qualified staff and include outdoor play within the setting’s grounds and in our garden with raised beds for growing our own fruit, veg and flowers.
Children are encouraged to discuss their preferences with their key workers and quiet activities such as reading in the quiet area are available for children not wishing to partake in the planned activities.
We also support children with our homework club, allowing for more quality time with you, once home.
After school food options
Healthy eating and active lifestyles are encouraged at For Kids Co and likely after school, healthy options include beans on wholegrain toast, hummus, cream cheese and fresh crudités, fresh fruit, dried fruit, yoghurt, juices and water.
Careful consideration is given to allergen awareness and/or religious requirements. When your child joins For Kids Co, all staff are fully briefed on their requirements from the medical questionnaire and admissions form.
